Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago (transgender treatments) - Rady Children’s Hospital (pediatric gender-affirming care, including referrals for surgeries). Conservative amendments (e.g., by Rep. Ralph Norman) sought to strike these as funding “transgender surgeries” or “sex-rejecting hormones for children.” - DEI programs - Additional NGO funding “This entire Appropriations package is riddled with billions of dollars of earmarks for woke, progressive programs that Doge rooted out and that are fundamentally against what we've been talking about.
