Data Deletion Instructions

You can request deletion of data associated with your use of BasedVox, including account information and text submissions.

What data we store

  • Account data: If you signed in, we store your user ID, email, name, and profile picture from your authentication provider.
  • Text submissions: Text you submitted for scoring may be temporarily stored for service operation.
  • Session data: Anonymous session identifiers and usage logs.

How to request deletion

  1. Email admin@myva.ai with the subject line "BasedVox Data Deletion Request".
  2. Include the email address associated with your account (if you signed in via social login).
  3. If you did not sign in, include any identifiers that help us locate your data (such as the device/browser and approximate dates you used the service).
  4. Specify if you want to delete your account entirely or just specific data.
  5. We may ask you to verify ownership of the account (for example, by replying from the same email address used to sign in).

To help us process your request quickly, please include the country you are located in (if relevant for your request) and the approximate date range when you used the service.

What happens next

  • We will confirm receipt and respond within 30 days.
  • We will delete or de-identify account data and associated service data that can be reasonably linked to your request.
  • Important: We cannot delete data that has already been processed by third-party AI providers. Contact those providers directly for their data retention policies.
  • Some security logs may be retained for up to 90 days for fraud prevention and legal compliance.
  • We may retain limited information for longer where required or permitted by law (for example, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, or maintain security).
  • If we are subject to a valid legal preservation obligation (“legal hold”), we may delay deletion of affected data until the hold is lifted.

Requests from public authorities

If we receive a lawful request from public authorities for information relating to your account, we may be required to preserve or disclose certain data. When we receive such requests, we aim to review them for legality and scope, minimize disclosure, and object or challenge requests when appropriate and permitted.
