By using BasedVox, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What BasedVox provides

BasedVox provides coaching-style feedback about communication, decisions, and scenarios. It is not a substitute for professional medical, mental health, or legal advice.

How the service works

When you submit text, it is sent to our servers and processed using artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models (LLMs) to generate scores and feedback. Your text may be processed by third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI) as part of this service.

Basic scores are available without an account. To access full feedback (including coach notes, summaries, and suggested rewrites), you must sign in using a social login provider.

Account and authentication

You may sign in using third-party authentication providers including Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter). By signing in:

• You authorize us to receive basic profile information (such as your name, email address, and profile picture) from your chosen provider.
• You agree to the terms and privacy policies of the authentication provider you use.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials with those providers.

Safety and emergencies

BasedVox is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger or considering self-harm, contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the service to harass, threaten, or abuse others.
• Do not submit illegal content.
• Do not attempt to break, probe, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Do not rely on outputs as your only source of truth for high-stakes decisions.
• Do not submit sensitive personal information of others without their consent.
• Do not use automated tools to scrape, spam, or abuse the service.

Your content

You are responsible for what you submit. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share. You retain ownership of text you submit, but you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of providing the service.

AI-generated content disclaimer

All feedback, scores, and rewrites are generated by AI and may contain errors, biases, or inappropriate content. The output does not represent the views of BasedVox or its operators. Review all suggestions critically before use.

Third-party services

BasedVox uses third-party services to operate, including:

• Authentication providers: Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, X (Twitter) for sign-in.
• AI/LLM providers: For processing your text and generating feedback.
• Cloud infrastructure: For hosting and data storage.

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

Privacy, deletion, and legal requests

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. If you want to request deletion of your data, see Data Deletion Instructions.

We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with valid legal process or lawful requests from public authorities, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or our service. When we receive such requests, we aim to review them for legality and scope, minimize disclosure, and object or challenge requests when appropriate and permitted.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, if required to do so for legal or security reasons, or to protect the service and other users.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BasedVox and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your use of or inability to use the service; (b) any conduct or content of any third party; or (c) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BasedVox and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the service or your violation of these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the service operator is located, without regard to conflict of law principles.
